The Gamma Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa participates in the Visiting Scholar program, which brings distinguished scholars in a variety of disciplines to campuses across the nation. Phi Beta Kappa has a long tradition of celebrating excellence in the liberal arts and sciences and of championing freedom of thought, and the Visiting Scholar program is one example of that mission.

Indiana University's Gamma chapter of Phi Beta Kappa will welcome Kelly Lambert, Trawick Professor of Behavioral Neuroscience at the University of Richmond, to Bloomington on November 14-15, 2024. During her visit, Dr. Lambert will interact with undergraduate students and faculty in various contexts. She will also deliver a public lecture entitled Brains Gone Wild: Looking Beyond Laboratory Rodents for Adaptive Neural Strategies that Translate from the Bush to the Bedside, in which she will look beyond laboratory rodents for adaptive neural strategies.
