Phi Beta Kappa Induction Banquets

At IU, new PBK members are inducted into the society at banquets held every December and April. College of Arts and Sciences deans and faculty attend these celebrations to honor our student inductees. It has become the custom for a faculty member who is also a Phi Beta Kappa member to give an address before the new members are announced.

The Phi Beta Kappa ceremony is one of the highlights of the academic year. It is a time when the College gathers to celebrate our outstanding students, who are the heart – and the future – of the College.
